|Declan Murray, the company’s Managing Director is a Commerce graduate of University College Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young in Dublin. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.Declan has a long association with BBA Ireland going back as far as 1990 when he first became involved with the company through Ernst & Young. He joined the company in 1999 taking over from predecessor Frank McNulty on his retirement. Declan led the negotiation of the management buyout of the company in 2000 and also oversaw the acquisition and integration of the Curragh Bloodstock Agency Limited in 2005.As well as general management, corporate finance and accounting expertise, Declan is recognised as one of Ireland’s foremost experts in taxation and financial planning within the bloodstock industry.

Nicola Behan CPA
Nicola is responsible for and oversees the various aspects of the day to day running of the company’s accounts function across all departments as well as providing accounting support to many overseas clients. Over the years she has developed expertise in cross border VAT transactions within the bloodstock industry.
Ines’s father was the well known racehorse trainer Paddy Norris who trained the winner of both the Irish Grand National and The Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot among his many winners. Ines’s grandfather Frank Vickerman also had the distinction of owning Cottage Rake the winner of three Gold Cups when trained by Vincent O’Brien.
Ines has been involved in the bloodstock Industry all her life and being married to Turf Club Official Pat Malone Ines’s love of racing is fulfilled as she travels all around the country to the various meetings whenever possible.
Throughout this time she has developed a wide and varied knowledge of general accounting. Her particular speciality is transport job costing and credit control but she is also fully involved in the day to day wider accounting function as well as providing accounting support to overseas clients.
