Born into a Northern Irish horse racing family, Jane was destined to work in the industry in some way or other. Her father Alan built up a small broodmare band, racing and breeding his own homebreds. Her brother Peter is a successful national hunt jockey. Having ridden horses and competed in different disciplines Jane graduated from university with an honor’s degree in French and Arabic. Shortly after graduation she was selected for the British Horse Racing Board Graduate Development Programme. After completing this prestigious course she was offered a job at Darley and worked for their divisions in both England and Ireland. During this period she also attended the English National Stud Course.

Jane moved to the States in 1998 taking a position with Juddmonte Farms. Through the help of Juddmonte she had the opportunity to work for leading two year old consignor, Wavertree Stables. After her time at Juddmonte Jane went on to work for New York trainer John Kimmel for several years. She has also assisted several race high profile track veterinarians and a worked few winter seasons in the Gulfstream Park racing office.

In 2007 Jane took a job with the Starlight Racing Partnership. She managed their successful racing stable liaising with owners and trainers and worked alongside Barry Berkelhammer and Frank Brothers at the sales helping to pick out future Starlight stars. During this time she was lucky to be around such top class horses as Octave, Take The Points, Hilda’s Passion, Position Limit and Shanghai Bobby to name a few.

In April 2012 Jane felt she could offer her services to a wider audience so she took a position as racing manager to Kentucky Derby winning trainer, Graham Motion. She helps Graham map out races for his 180 head stable. This move enabled Jane to start up her own bloodstock business and work independently at the sales for both Graham and her own outside clients.

In 2013 Jane also became US Representative for BBA Ireland, one of Europe’s leading bloodstock agencies. With offices in both Ireland and England she has valuable inside knowledge on horses for sale in Europe that fit the US market.

Jane’s lifetime of experience working for such high profile organizations sets her apart from many people in the industry. She takes her role in selecting horses very seriously and maintains high standards. At the end of the day the success of any purchase is a reflection of her own work.

Jane lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
