Son of the founder Tom Cooper, Patrick has been with the BBA Ireland since 1991. A lifetime in the business saw an apprenticeship with Claiborne Farm, Haras D’Etreham, Colin Hayes, two years in South Africa and a spell with Bill Oppenheim in America. Although mainly associated with the exploits of Snow Fairy in the last few years, he has also bought 2008 Group 2 winner Curtain Call (syndicated for £3.75 million) and Stakes winner Siren’s Song (sold for £320,000 at Newmarket December Sales 2011) to race in his wife, Juliet’s colours. |
