Declan is a Commerce graduate of University College Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Declan has a long association with BBA Ireland going back to 1990 and joined the company as Finance Director in 1999. He led and negotiated an MBO in 2000 and the acquisition and integration of competitor, Curragh Bloodstock Agency, in 2005. As well as general management, corporate finance and accounting expertise, Declan is recognised as one of Ireland’s foremost experts in taxation in the bloodstock industry.
Nicola has been with BBA Ireland since 1994. She qualified as a member of Accounting Technicians Ireland in 1998 and as a Certified Public Accountant in 2001.
Nicola is responsible for and oversees the day to day running of the company’s financial function across all departments as well as providing accounting support to many overseas clients. Over the years she has developed expertise in cross border VAT transactions within the bloodstock industry.
Ines Malone - Bloodstock Administration
Ines has a lifetime’s experience in the world of racing and breeding having joined the company in 1979.
Ines’s father was racehorse trainer Paddy Norris who trained the winner of both the Irish Grand National and The Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot among his many winners. Ines’s grandfather Frank Vickerman also had the distinction of owning Cottage Rake the winner of three Gold Cups when trained by Vincent O’Brien.
An avid race goer, she provides expert support to all departments and particularly to the Bloodstock Agents.
Martina joined the operation in 1981. Throughout this time she has developed a wide and varied knowledge of general accounting and is also fully involved in the day to day accounting function as well as providing accounting support to overseas clients.
