The BBA Ireland Shipping Office has been offering a fully comprehensive door to door personal service for our clients’ horses since 1956. Throughout that time we are very proud to have always been at the forefront of international health and trade negotiations to enable Irish horses reach their countries of destination in the safest most efficient and seamless fashion.

We feel privileged and incredibly lucky to count some of the best owners, trainers and breeders in the business as our clients. It is their faith in us that motivates us daily to give them and their horses the best possible tailored service 24/7/365. Our clients are absolute perfectionists and so too must we be.

The roll-call of horses we have shipped to win international Group /Grade 1 races reads like a who’s who of Irish and International Racing. We have shipped winners of the Epsom Derby, 2000 Guineas, 1000 Guineas, Champion Stakes, Arlington Million, Beverly D, Man O’War, Canadian International, Melbourne Cup, Japan Cup and multiple Royal Ascot G1 winners.

We were the proud shippers of the first two home in the 2017 running of the Melbourne Cup. We work for our luck in travelling racehorses to Melbourne, we pioneered this route and were proud shippers of Vintage Crop (first foreign winner, 1993) and Media Puzzle (winner, 2002).

We also pioneered travelling Irish shuttle stallions to Australia in the 1970s. We continue to ship Irish shuttle stallions to and from the Southern Hemisphere every single year since.

BBA Ireland recently successfully exported the largest ever airlift of Irish horses to mainland China. This was a great success story for team BBA Ireland, for our visionary client and for Irish Breeders. It all went so well that we did it all again a year later.

We are immensely proud when a horse that we have shipped is first past a foreign winning post, or is settling into its new home on the other side of the world or if we have just broken new ground in landing Irish horses in a new frontier.
