John concentrates on the Asian markets of Japan, Korea and Hong Kong in recent years.
He has been instrumental in brokering the sale of a number of high profile stallion prospects to Japan and Korea over the years. John tours Japan and Korea on an annual basis. He also sources European horses in training for the Hong Kong market.
In Ireland his stallion purchases have included champion National Hunt stallion Old Vic, and a long association with Rathbarry Stud has seen him buy both Namid and Robin Des Champs for the famed Cork stallion farm. His broodmare purchases for client include a number of high profile dams of Champions and Classic winners.
